Young Married’s Fall Retreat

Date: Friday November 14th–Sunday November 16th
Where: Refreshing Mountain Camp, Stevens, Pa

We will meet at the camp on Friday at 7:00 pm and finish at 11:00 am on Sunday.

Cost: $275 per couple
Includes: Hotel room, all meals, use of camp facilities, and speaker

YMM Game Night
Saturday, August 23rd
7pm
Room 124 (the Sunday meeting room)
Prior to the event, there will be a sign up sheet passed around to bring drinks and snacks.
Bring any games you want to play. Childcare will not be provided.

July 26th, 4pm

For our July event we are planning an afternoon of farm fun and a bonfire. James and Corrie Eby have graciously offered to host this event at their farm in Gap. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided but we need everybody else to bring sides, desserts, and drinks.

Wiffle ball/croquet/volleyball will be setup, plus they have two canoes, so feel free to wear comfy clothes. They live right on a creek and would recommend bringing a change of clothes for kids, who are more than welcome to attend.

From the church area:

Go west on 30 until you come to the town of Gap . You will come to a stop light at a Hess gas station (Rt. 897). Turn right onto 897 at the Hess. You will pass Gap park on the left. At the stop sign (you don’t have to stop) turn right. Make the first left onto Amish Rd. and follow that for about a mile. You will pass a church on the right and then make a sharp bend in the road to the left. After the bend, turn Right onto Millwood Rd. Go down the hill and cross the bridge — our house is on the left. It’s an old stone farmhouse with red shutters.

Once again, Lane and Jessica Harlan have offered to host a YMM July 4th pool party at their house. The party will start at 2:30pm. We ask that everybody bring either a appetizer, side, salad or dessert and if you plan on swimming bring your swimsuit and towels. Kids are welcome. Please RSVP to jessigerl@yahoo.com

We also need volunteers to bring the following:

1. Drinks (either single-serve in coolers, or 2-liters with a bucket of ice)
2. A crock-pot of corn
3. Plates/cups/napkins/silverware (you may be able to just get these on Sunday from the YMM closet)

Sorry for the short notice! After a series of leadership meetings some of our summer plans have become more concrete. One of these plans is a free lunch for all YMMer’s during the 11:30 hour this coming Sunday, June 1st in room 124!

We started a new series last week on Serving so come enjoy some food from 2 different continents. (Again, it is free!)

Also, there are some changes going on that you need to be aware of. YMM is meeting all YEAR now….including this summer. We will probably ONLY cancel it a couple of times a year like Easter, Fall Retreat (November 14-16) and Mother’s Day. In order to build the ministry it is important to build momentum and have consistency.

We hope you will join us as we move this ministry forward. See you Sunday!
