Prayer Request: The Harlans
Sunday, December 31st, 2006UPDATE 1/4/2006: Jen Phipps has been in contact with the Harlans and is organizing a system of support. Along with lots of prayer, they are quite open to and in need of meals & visits! At this point, signs ups are for Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays, January through March. Jess has said their days are very flexible, so feel free to coordinate other days with them if that works better for you. She said they are not very picky eaters - so there are no food restrictions.
Also, please prayerfully consider offering your time if you are able. Right now, Jess’s mom is caring for Joshua full time during Lane’s work day. She will not be able to carry this schedule all by herself. If you have a few hours, or a whole day to commit to helping out - this would be a huge blessing for their family. Jessica will most likely be producing a “schedule of needs” so that people may offer their time if they are able.
January - March 2007
Starting Monday 1/8 - Wednesday 1/10 - Friday 1/12….and so on.
Please email Jen Phipps at jnoel27 @ hotmail.com (remove spaces) to sign up, and contact Jess @ 610-563-6128 or Lane @ 610-410-7233 to coordinate the “meal drop off” or visit.
Continue to pray for Jessica and Baby Harlan’s health & well being, as well as strength for Lane & Joshua.

UPDATE: 1/1/2007 Jessica was released from the hospital. At the current moment she will, however, have to remain on bed-rest for the remainder of her pregnancy (7 months). This presents many challenges to the Harlans from a practical perspective.
As a community we need to band together and not only continue to keep them in prayer but reach out to them with our support. Check back periodically for updates as we try to decide how best to help them.

We’ve received word that Jessica Harlan was admitted into the hospital. We ask you all to keep her, Lane and Joshua in prayer as they will need it during this time.
Feel free to leave notes of encouragement here on the site (Via the comments system at the bottom of the post) and we will be sure that they get them.
